Dr Judith Rifeser

Dr Judith Rifeser is a languages teacher – researcher – filmmaker. She has been teaching modern languages in the UK, Spain, Italy and the US in primary, secondary and HE settings. She jointly co-ordinates the Initial Teacher Education Secondary PGCE Modern Languages Programme at Goldsmiths, University of London. Judith is the Association for Language Learning President Officer and a long-standing committee member of ALL London. She is particularly interested in the use of authentic resources and (digital) arts practices, particularly film(making), to celebrate and nurture intercultural understanding, creativity and diversity. She has previously collaborated with institutions such as the Goethe Institut London, the BFI London and Into Film to create educational resources. She writes and makes short films which have to date been screened at festivals and cinemas, such as at the London Feminist Film Festival and the ICA London.
